Did you paint that??

Hello sexy.

I did paint that, for Illustration. We had to choose a movie about 50 years in the past or future and paint a self portrait in said movie, so I chose to do myself as none other than Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind. Go figure ;-)

It's funny because I didn't even know the thing posted, there were supposed to be two pictures and some comments to go with them, guess I'll have to re-post the other painting. Minor set back :-)

How is life treating You Sage?

Hi Scarlett, it's a wonderful picture, I love it!
It gives a deep feeling of sadness for me- thanks for that!

I apologise if this sounds unappreciative of this art work, (because, I hasten to add, think your blog and this painting is rather beautiful, almost melancholy as she looks to be drifting alone through the fields) but it reminds me of Princess Fiona in Shrek. I adore that film and although her dress is green, rather than red, I still think of her when I look at this painting. Hope you can understand where I am coming from and my perception of yours, but there is no right or wrong answer in art and that's why I enjoy it so much.

Jessica,
I can appriciate different opinions, but I hope that you don't mean that she looks like Fiona from Shrek as this is a self portrait and while I realize I am no breath taking beauty I like to think that I don't look like Fiona. Lol. I don't take it personally and don't feel bad if that is what you meant, everyone has a right to their opinion.
